Football and Cheerleading Camp
By · CommentsJust a reminder about our pre-season skills and conditioning camp beginning Monday and running thru Thursday from 6-8pm. If you have not signed up for the camp, you can walk up and do it Monday. The fee is $ 25 and your child will receive a t-shirt and spirit bag. Hope to see all of you there.
Registration will continue this Saturday June 26, 2010.

Registration at Benjamin Stoddart Middle School
Prices: $175 – Football | Cheerleading – $165
June 26 9am – 1pm
July 10 th 9am – 1pm
July 17th 9am – 1pm
There will be a 3 day camp closer to the last week in July. More details on that coming soon. If you need any information you can call 301-870-4339.
I’ve had some questions about what time practices are held, where, and when do they start. This is left up to the individual coaches. I do know most if not all practices are held after 5pm (I had a question about that). Some practices are held at Stoddard Middle School and Eva Turner Elementary School. The coaches will have more information about that.

Elections Were Held and a New President Appointed

Some of you may not have known; because it was very low key, but elections for the next SCB President took place last Saturday at White Plains Park. I don’t know what the turnout was because of the rain but Todd Edlen (Coach of the 70lb Senior team) was elected President.
Congrats to Todd.
Homecoming Games Make-up
By · CommentsAll games that were missed for homecoming will be made up on November 14th at the same times they were scheduled for. The Presidents Cup has been moved back to Saturday December 5. The top 4 teams at each pound will play in the championship game.

SCB Ankle Biter White Win 34-0

Ankle Biter's White coach Damien Wood talks to his team at halftime where they led 21-0
Ankle Biter White played the Waldorf Wildcats on Saturday. The AB White team went into the game with a 3-1 record and with a defense that had not allowed a TD in the last 6 quarters. They left the game with a 4-1 record and another defensive shutout as they beat the Wildcats 34-0.
Lead by the defensive player of the game; Mathew (6 tackles), the St. Charles Bears Ankle Biter White team totally shut down the Wildcats only allowing 2 first downs the whole game. Take nothing away from the the Offense; who was led by Clayton and Shane who put up 34 points, but it was relentless pressure by the defense that the coaches were praising after the game.
SCB Unlimited Falls to Westlake 12-13

Team looks to regroup after trailing at half 7-0 to Westlake
The unlimited squad of SCB came to the field at White Plains determined to get a win against Westlake. The game was tight and Westlake jumped to an early 7-0 lead. St. Charles could not score before the half so at the half it remained 7-0 Westlake. Coach nick Furgeson emplored the boys to get it together and they came out and drove down the field to score but missed an extra point. On the ensuing Kick Off the Westlake Kick Returner took it all the way back to St. Charles 30 yard line after many missed tackles. 3 plays later Westlake scored to make it 13-7. The Bears then stood tall and stopped the extra point to keep it a one possesion lead for the bulldogs.
After trading punts, the St. Charles Bears got the ball back and with a nice run by the FB who scored on a 50 yard scamper. The extra point however was not good and the Bears still trailed 12-13. The Bears forced the Bulldogs to punt but the offense could not move the ball to get in a position to score and take the lead. It was a good game and the boys tried hard, but lack of execution on the extra points cost the team.
